Guest Chef Services

Searching for the perfect team-building or business-to-business event for your group? Are you looking for a fun, new way to host a dinner party or special event for your friends and family or business associates? The Chef Expert offers a number of exciting culinary options to meet your specific needs.

Conducted in the privacy of your kitchen, we will customize our offerings in order to make your event unique, perfect, and memorable. Chef Allan's services can also be given as a gift to loved ones or as a corporate thank you of elegant distinction.

Because every function has different needs and is customized, The Chef Expert will offer a quotation for Chef Allan's services after your free consultation. Generally, base labor rate is $225 per hour plus food cost for parties of 10 or less (this includes menu planning, product acquisition, advance prep, delivery, service and clean-up).

Beverage service is typically the responsibility of the host, although for an additional fee, we will have a sommalier recommend wine (and/or other beverage) pairings with the established menu.

Private Cooking Classes

The Chef Expert offers cooking classes in your kitchen. Teaching world-class cuisine using recipes that are centered on the freshest of the seasonal bounty available in the Pacific Northwest, classes are either "Demonstration" (non-participation) format or "Hands-on" (full-participation) format. Students receive a copy of all the recipes used in class. Students receive tasting portions of the dishes prepared in class. The tastings do not constitute a complete meal unless indicated, so we suggest students have a light snack or meal prior to arrival.

*Cost per student fees start at $120 - $210 depending on complexity of menu and product costs
*Long pants, aprons, and closed-toed/rubber soled shoes strongly advised
*An additional fee will be charged if aprons, knives and utensils are to be provided for in-class use
